    wireshark-mcp is an A production-grade Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Wireshark

    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Directory Traversal via the wireshark_export_objects process when the dest_dir parameter is attacker-controlled and no mandatory path restriction is enforced. An attacker can write arbitrary files to any location on the filesystem by supplying crafted input that manipulates the export destination path. This is only exploitable if the environment variable WIRESHARK_MCP_ALLOWED_DIRS is not configured.
