Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS)

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the RegexCriterion class. An attacker can cause significant CPU exhaustion by supplying a malicious regular expression and influencing the identifier input, leading to excessive backtracking and performance degradation.

    Note:

This is only exploitable if an attacker can control both the regular expression input and the output of the identifier, such as through untrusted contingency lists or limit reduction files used with untrusted network identifiers.

How to fix Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS)?

Upgrade com.powsybl:powsybl-iidm-criteria to version 6.7.2 or higher.
