    Deserialization of Untrusted Data

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Deserialization of Untrusted Data in the JmsBinding.extractBodyFromJms process when handling JMS ObjectMessages with the mapJmsMessage option enabled. An attacker can inject arbitrary Exchange state by publishing a crafted ObjectMessage containing a DefaultExchangeHolder object to a queue or topic consumed by an affected application, allowing manipulation of routing, headers, exchange properties, and error handling without requiring a deserialization gadget chain. This is only exploitable if the attacker can publish ObjectMessages to a JMS destination consumed by the application.

How to fix Deserialization of Untrusted Data?

    Upgrade org.apache.camel:camel-activemq6 to version 4.14.8, 4.18.3, 4.21.0 or higher.
