    Improper Neutralization

    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Neutralization via convertMetadataToHeaders in the Camel Tika producer. An attacker can manipulate downstream route behavior, including where a later file producer writes content, by supplying a document with metadata such as CamelFileName set to an attacker-chosen path.

    Workarounds

    • In routes using the Tika producer, add removeHeaders("Camel*") immediately after it and before any component that acts on those headers, preventing document metadata from controlling downstream behavior through Camel headers.

    Upgrade org.apache.camel:camel-tika to version 4.18.5, 4.22.1 or higher.
