    org.apache.directory.api:api-ldap-model is a Common LDAP Model used by clients and servers.

    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the TelephoneNumberSyntaxChecker and FacsimileTelephoneNumberSyntaxChecker in LDAP schema syntax validation. An attacker can trigger catastrophic regular-expression backtracking by sending a malformed telephone number, such as a long run of digits followed by an invalid character, to an LDAP server using the API. Processing the value can consume 100% of a CPU core indefinitely, severely degrading or denying LDAP service.
