    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Isolation or Compartmentalization through FlowableWorkflowContext.processEngineConfiguration and the Groovy script engine used for scriptTask evaluation. An administrator with the right entitlements can achieve remote code execution by supplying malicious Groovy code in a scripted workflow connector or script task. This affects users who run Syncope’s Flowable-based workflow or scripted connector features, allowing crafted scripts to execute with server-side privileges and compromise the application server.

    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Isolation or Compartmentalization via the processEngineConfiguration setup in FlowableWorkflowContext.java. An administrator with the required entitlements can import a BPMN process definition containing a Groovy scriptTask through the REST API and start it, causing the Groovy code to run directly on the server. This lets the attacker execute arbitrary Groovy logic in the Syncope process engine context, which can break out of the intended workflow sandbox and take control of server-side execution. For users, importing and starting a malicious process can lead to unauthorized command execution on the Syncope server and compromise of the host running workflow processing.
