    Directory Traversal

@pnpm/package-bins is a that returns bins of a package.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Directory Traversal via the getBinsFromPackageManifest function. An attacker can modify file permissions outside the intended directory by supplying a crafted value in the directories.bin field of a package manifest, causing arbitrary files to become world-readable or executable.

Note: This is only exploitable if the system is running on Unix/Linux/macOS and requires the attacker to publish and convince the user to install a malicious package.

    How to fix Directory Traversal?

Upgrade @pnpm/package-bins to version 1000.0.17 or higher.
