    Improper Certificate Validation

    snowflake-sdk is a Node.js driver for Snowflake

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation in the OCSP processing functionality, which accepts an OCSP response without checking that its CertID matches the certificate being validated and treats definitive verification failures as transient. An attacker holding a once-valid, now-revoked certificate and its private key can complete a TLS connection as a trusted server and read or modify transmitted data by presenting the revoked certificate alongside an OCSP response issued for a different serial. This requires the attacker to obtain that revoked certificate and its private key for the target host and to hold a MitM position on the connection.

How to fix Improper Certificate Validation?

Upgrade snowflake-sdk to version 3.3.0 or higher.
