    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the parseString() function due to improper sanitization of toRemove and itemName. An attacker can cause a denial of service by submitting specially crafted input that triggers an inefficient regular expression evaluation.

    The vulnerable Regex is only called under the following conditions:

    1. attributes.usableItem is truth

    2. either attributes.usableItem.output or attributes.usableItem.target are falsy
