Directory Traversal

ansible-runner is a tool that helps when interfacing with Ansible directly or as part of another system whether that be through a container image interface, as a standalone tool, or as a Python module that can be imported.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Directory Traversal via the unstream_dir() function, which extracts a streamed zip archive on the worker side of the ansible-runner transmit/worker protocol without validating symbolic link targets or sanitizing archive member names before applying chmod() and utime(). An attacker who can influence the archive content processed by a worker can create files, create symbolic links, or change permissions outside the intended target directory, which can be leveraged toward code execution.

How to fix Directory Traversal?

There is no fixed version for ansible-runner.
