    Use of Web Link to Untrusted Target with window.opener Access

    jupyterlab is a JupyterLab computational environment.

    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Web Link to Untrusted Target with window.opener Access via the link rendering process in LaTeX typesetters for Markdown files and cells. An attacker can potentially manipulate the behavior of a newly opened browser tab by crafting a link that, when clicked, could allow the new tab to access the window object of the originating page if the noopener attribute is not enforced.

    Note:

    This is only exploitable if a third-party LaTeX-rendering extension generates links with target=_blank and the user clicks on such a link.
