NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream container-tools:4.0/buildah-tests package and not the container-tools:4.0/buildah-tests package as distributed by AlmaLinux. See How to fix? for AlmaLinux:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The html/template package does not properly handle HTML-like "" comment tokens, nor hashbang "#!" comment tokens, in <script> contexts. This may cause the template parser to improperly interpret the contents of <script> contexts, causing actions to be improperly escaped. This may be leveraged to perform an XSS attack.
