CWE-295  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade AlmaLinux:8 grilo-devel to version 0:0.3.6-3.el8 or higher.
This issue was patched in ALSA-2021:4339.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream grilo-devel package and not the grilo-devel package as distributed by AlmaLinux. See How to fix? for AlmaLinux:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

In GNOME grilo though 0.3.13, grl-net-wc.c does not enable TLS certificate verification on the SoupSessionAsync objects it creates, leaving users vulnerable to network MITM attacks. NOTE: this is similar to CVE-2016-20011.
