How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.24 libpcap to version 1.10.7-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libpcap package and not the libpcap package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.24 relevant fixed versions and status.

libpcap BPF interpreter treats the offset in the 'ja L' BPF instruction as a signed integer to implement looping via backward jumps, but it does not limit the number of loop iterations. In particular uncommon use cases a crafted filter program can cause the interpreter to loop infinitely.
