CWE-1058  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Amazon-Linux:2 libcurl-devel to version 0:8.3.0-1.amzn2.0.12 or higher.
This issue was patched in ALAS2-2026-3173.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libcurl-devel package and not the libcurl-devel package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2 relevant fixed versions and status.

When doing multi-threaded LDAPS transfers (LDAP over TLS) with libcurl, changing TLS options in one thread would inadvertently change them globally and therefore possibly also affect other concurrently setup transfers.

Disabling certificate verification for a specific transfer could unintentionally disable the feature for other threads as well.
