NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libtiff-devel package and not the libtiff-devel package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2 relevant fixed versions and status.

LibTIFF is vulnerable to an integer overflow. This flaw allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute an arbitrary code via a crafted tiff image, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
