NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream lynx-debuginfo package and not the lynx-debuginfo package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2 relevant fixed versions and status.

Lynx through 2.8.9 mishandles the userinfo subcomponent of a URI, which allows remote attackers to discover cleartext credentials because they may appear in SNI data.
