How to fix?

Upgrade Amazon-Linux:2 NetworkManager-glib to version 1:1.18.8-1.amzn2.0.1 or higher.
This issue was patched in ALAS2-2020-1498.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream NetworkManager-glib package and not the NetworkManager-glib package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2 relevant fixed versions and status.

It was found that nmcli, a command line interface to NetworkManager did not honour 802-1x.ca-path and 802-1x.phase2-ca-path settings, when creating a new profile. When a user connects to a network using this profile, the authentication does not happen and the connection is made insecurely.
