CWE-74  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Amazon-Linux:2 php-pear to version 1:1.10.12-4.amzn2.0.1 or higher.
This issue was patched in ALAS2-2021-1584.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream php-pear package and not the php-pear package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2 relevant fixed versions and status.

Archive_Tar through 1.4.10 has :// filename sanitization only to address phar attacks, and thus any other stream-wrapper attack (such as file:// to overwrite files) can still succeed.
