NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gnupg2-debuginfo package and not the gnupg2-debuginfo package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2018.03 relevant fixed versions and status.

The keyring DB in GnuPG before 2.1.2 does not properly handle invalid packets, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid read and use-after-free) via a crafted keyring file.
