NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libarchive-devel package and not the libarchive-devel package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2018.03 relevant fixed versions and status.

The process_extra function in libarchive before 3.2.0 uses the size field and a signed number in an offset, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted zip file.
