How to fix?

Upgrade Amazon-Linux:2023 cloud-init to version 0:22.2.2-1.amzn2023.1.14 or higher.
This issue was patched in ALAS2023-2025-1082.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream cloud-init package and not the cloud-init package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2023 relevant fixed versions and status.

When a non-x86 platform is detected, cloud-init grants root access to a hardcoded url with a local IP address. To prevent this, cloud-init default configurations disable platform enumeration.
