NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream mariadb105-sphinx-engine-debuginfo package and not the mariadb105-sphinx-engine-debuginfo package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2023 relevant fixed versions and status.

In MariaDB before 10.9.2, compress_write in extra/mariabackup/ds_compress.cc does not release data_mutex upon a stream write failure, which allows local users to trigger a deadlock.
