How to fix?

Upgrade Amazon-Linux:2023 wireshark-cli-debuginfo to version 1:4.4.2-1.amzn2023.0.1 or higher.
This issue was patched in ALAS2023-2025-837.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream wireshark-cli-debuginfo package and not the wireshark-cli-debuginfo package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2023 relevant fixed versions and status.

A Buffer Overflow in Wireshark before 4.2.0 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the wsutil/to_str.c, and format_fractional_part_nsecs components. NOTE: this is disputed by the vendor because neither release 4.2.0 nor any other release was affected.
