NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream irssi package and not the irssi package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

In Irssi before 1.0.5, certain incorrectly formatted DCC CTCP messages could cause a NULL pointer dereference. This is a separate, but similar, issue relative to CVE-2017-9468.
