CVE-2014-8130 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade Centos:6
libtiff
to version 0:3.9.4-18.el6_8 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libtiff
package and not the libtiff
package as distributed by Centos
.
See How to fix?
for Centos:6
relevant fixed versions and status.
The _TIFFmalloc function in tif_unix.c in LibTIFF 4.0.3 does not reject a zero size, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a crafted TIFF image that is mishandled by the TIFFWriteScanline function in tif_write.c, as demonstrated by tiffdither.
