NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream compat-poppler022-cpp package and not the compat-poppler022-cpp package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

poppler 0.54.0, as used in Evince and other products, has a NULL pointer dereference in the JPXStream::readUByte function in JPXStream.cc. For example, the perf_test utility will crash (segmentation fault) when parsing an invalid PDF file.
