CWE-131  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

There is no fixed version for Centos:7 glibc-devel.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream glibc-devel package and not the glibc-devel package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

When the assert() function in the GNU C Library versions 2.13 to 2.40 fails, it does not allocate enough space for the assertion failure message string and size information, which may lead to a buffer overflow if the message string size aligns to page size.
