CVE-2019-11190 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade Centos:7
kernel-devel
to version 0:3.10.0-1127.el7 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kernel-devel
package and not the kernel-devel
package as distributed by Centos
.
See How to fix?
for Centos:7
relevant fixed versions and status.
The Linux kernel before 4.8 allows local users to bypass ASLR on setuid programs (such as /bin/su) because install_exec_creds() is called too late in load_elf_binary() in fs/binfmt_elf.c, and thus the ptrace_may_access() check has a race condition when reading /proc/pid/stat.
