CWE-121  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Centos:7 sqlite-tcl to version 0:3.7.17-6.el7_1.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream sqlite-tcl package and not the sqlite-tcl package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:7 relevant fixed versions and status.

The sqlite3VXPrintf function in printf.c in SQLite before 3.8.9 does not properly handle precision and width values during floating-point conversions, which allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (integer overflow and stack-based buffer overflow) or possibly have unspecified other impact via large integers in a crafted printf function call in a SELECT statement.
