CVE-2021-46828 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade Centos:8
libtirpc
to version 0:1.1.4-6.el8 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libtirpc
package and not the libtirpc
package as distributed by Centos
.
See How to fix?
for Centos:8
relevant fixed versions and status.
In libtirpc before 1.3.3rc1, remote attackers could exhaust the file descriptors of a process that uses libtirpc because idle TCP connections are mishandled. This can, in turn, lead to an svc_run infinite loop without accepting new connections.
