CWE-502  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Centos:8 python38-idle to version 0:3.8.3-3.module+el8.3.0+7680+79e7e61a or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python38-idle package and not the python38-idle package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

PyYAML 5.1 through 5.1.2 has insufficient restrictions on the load and load_all functions because of a class deserialization issue, e.g., Popen is a class in the subprocess module. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2017-18342.
