NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python3-numpy-f2py package and not the python3-numpy-f2py package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

An incomplete string comparison in the numpy.core component in NumPy before 1.22.0 allows attackers to trigger slightly incorrect copying by constructing specific string objects. NOTE: the vendor states that this reported code behavior is "completely harmless."
