How to fix?

Upgrade Centos:9 dnsmasq to version 0:2.85-18.el9_8.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream dnsmasq package and not the dnsmasq package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

dnsmasqs extract_name() function can be abused to cause a heap buffer overflow, allowing an attacker to inject false DNS cache entries, which could result in DNS lookups to redirect to an attacker-controlled IP address, or to cause a DoS.
