CVE-2007-4135  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:10 libnfsidmap to version 0.18-0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libnfsidmap package and not the libnfsidmap package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

The NFSv4 ID mapper (nfsidmap) before 0.17 does not properly handle return values from the getpwnam_r function when performing a username lookup, which can cause it to report a file as being owned by "root" instead of "nobody" if the file exists on the server but not on the client.
