CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 bomberclone to version 0.11.7-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream bomberclone package and not the bomberclone package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

The do_gameinfo function in BomberClone 0.11.6 and earlier, and possibly other functions, does not reset the packet data size, which causes the send_pkg function (packets.c) to use this data size when sending a reply, and allows remote attackers to read portions of server memory.
