CWE-264  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 jinja2 to version 2.7.2-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream jinja2 package and not the jinja2 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

The default configuration for bccache.FileSystemBytecodeCache in Jinja2 before 2.7.2 does not properly create temporary files, which allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted .cache file with a name starting with _jinja2 in /tmp.
