CWE-674  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 u-boot to version 2020.01+dfsg-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream u-boot package and not the u-boot package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

A crafted self-referential DOS partition table will cause all Das U-Boot versions through 2019.07-rc4 to infinitely recurse, causing the stack to grow infinitely and eventually either crash or overwrite other data.
