CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 chicken to version 4.12.0-0.2 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream chicken package and not the chicken package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

An incorrect "pair?" check in the Scheme "length" procedure results in an unsafe pointer dereference in all CHICKEN Scheme versions prior to 4.13, which allows an attacker to cause a denial of service by passing an improper list to an application that calls "length" on it.
