How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 pdns-recursor to version 4.8.8-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream pdns-recursor package and not the pdns-recursor package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

A crafted response from an upstream server the recursor has been configured to forward-recurse to can cause a Denial of Service in the Recursor. The default configuration of the Recursor does not use recursive forwarding and is not affected.
