NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream nltk package and not the nltk package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:13 relevant fixed versions and status.

NLTK Downloader before 3.4.5 is vulnerable to a directory traversal, allowing attackers to write arbitrary files via a ../ (dot dot slash) in an NLTK package (ZIP archive) that is mishandled during extraction.
