CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 dircproxy to version 1.0.5-5.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream dircproxy package and not the dircproxy package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

irc_server.c in dircproxy 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) via an ACTION command without a parameter, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference, as demonstrated using a blank /me message from irssi.
