How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 gzip to version 1.3.5-15 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gzip package and not the gzip package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

Buffer underflow in the build_tree function in unpack.c in gzip 1.3.5 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted leaf count table that causes a write to a negative index.
