CVE-2006-3467  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-189  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable freetype to version 2.2.1-5 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream freetype package and not the freetype package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

Integer overflow in FreeType before 2.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted PCF file, as demonstrated by the Red Hat bad1.pcf test file, due to a partial fix of CVE-2006-1861.
