CWE-264  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable lxc to version 1.0.0-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream lxc package and not the lxc package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

The lxc-sshd template (templates/lxc-sshd.in) in LXC before 1.0.0.beta2 uses read-write permissions when mounting /sbin/init, which allows local users to gain privileges by modifying the init file.
