CWE-22  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable python-django to version 1.1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python-django package and not the python-django package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

The Admin media handler in core/servers/basehttp.py in Django 1.0 and 0.96 does not properly map URL requests to expected "static media files," which allows remote attackers to conduct directory traversal attacks and read arbitrary files via a crafted URL.
