Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation when acting as TLS client due to missing verification if the server certificate is valid for the target IP address. An attacker can exploit this to establish a connection with an invalid server certificate by presenting a certificate that passes signature validation but fails IP SAN values validation.

Note:

This is only exploitable if the client is configured to connect to an IP address instead of a hostname.
