Overview

org.springframework:spring-web is a package that provides a comprehensive programming and configuration model for modern Java-based enterprise applications - on any kind of deployment platform.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Deserialization of Untrusted Data. via deserialization in MappingJackson2MessageConverter and JacksonJsonMessageConverter within an untrusted JMS environment. An attacker can instantiate arbitrary classes by supplying crafted JMS messages that influence the target type during JSON deserialization. This may lead to unauthorized actions or code execution through exploitation of deserialization gadget chains available on the application's classpath.
