NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream curl-oci-entrypoint package and not the curl-oci-entrypoint package as distributed by Minimos. See How to fix? for Minimos:latest relevant fixed versions and status.

By default, curl automatically responds to WebSocket PING frames. Because curl lacks an upper bound on memory allocation for unacknowledged frames, a malicious server can exhaust all available memory by flooding curl with rapid, sequential PING messages.
