How to fix?

Upgrade Minimos:latest kibana-9.3-advanced to version 9.3.4-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kibana-9.3-advanced package and not the kibana-9.3-advanced package as distributed by Minimos. See How to fix? for Minimos:latest relevant fixed versions and status.

Impact:

A bad regular expression is generated any time you have multiple sequential optional groups (curly brace syntax), such as {a}{b}{c}:z. The generated regex grows exponentially with the number of groups, causing denial of service.

Patches:

Fixed in version 8.4.0.

Workarounds:

Limit the number of sequential optional groups in route patterns. Avoid passing user-controlled input as route patterns.
